Traveling from Amsterdam to Stockholm: Part 2

Meditation

During this walk, as had been the case multiple times throughout my trip, I didn’t pay much attention to others. My focus was my goal, and when I had that in sight, nothing else seemed to matter, not my heavy bags, my sleep deprivation, or the food I had consumed.

I found joy in moving from hostels to train stations. For me, it was an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, to challenge myself, to meditate, and, by doing so, to free my mind from everything but my own thoughts and feelings.

It was a form of therapy for me. During these moments, my mind was clear, my thoughts centered on self-esteem, self-care, self-love. To me, that was the only real concern; everything else was secondary.

At last, I arrived at Amsterdam Central Station. I managed to get onboard the train, and as usual, the first thing I did was put my bags above my seat, then I removed my jacket. As was my norm, I only kept my work computer bag and a bottle of water with me the whole time. I was ready for my 21-hour travel adventure.
