Techno in Europe: Munich PT 2

You,techno

Munich

If you haven't read the first part, I invite you to do so.

On my second night in Munich, I decided to go back to the same techno club.

This night, the music had changed, it went from being dark Tech House to dark Industrial Techno, a style similar to what I later saw in Berlin.

Just like the previous night, I left my jacket, scarf, and gloves at the cloakroom, but unlike last time, I also left my fanny pack with my wallet and cellphone. I only brought 20 Euros with me. The purpose of this night was to completely lose myself in the freedom of my movements while feeling the music.

Once I entered the club, I ordered a beer and sat down to observe the people inside the club.

At one point in the night, I was dancing, and in front of me were three Spanish tourists, a woman, and two men. One of the men approached me and asked if I liked men, to which I responded that I didn't. For the rest of the night, this person kept asking me if I was sure about that, sometimes bumping into me, sometimes staring at me without stopping. All of this happened because at first, out of curiosity, I used to look at people in the club in the face. At this point, I learned why no one else does it, why everyone looks straight ahead. To avoid problems, I simply ignored him for the rest of the night. At this point, I had gained a greater level of empathy for women, who experience these types of situations daily, on the streets, in nightclubs, in public transportation. I will talk about this in more depth later.

After that, I continued letting myself be carried away by the beats and melodies until a couple of friends approached me. They were Germans, and I spent the rest of the night with them. They had good vibes, and their movements were like ravers, it was the first time I saw someone with European raver style, their movements involved the back, and their shoulders smoothly moved from side to side with a straight gaze.

I remember that at one point in the night, there was a group of men who seemed to know these other people. I didn't trust them much, they didn't give me good vibes, I felt dark energies. I preferred not to have any social contact with them and kept dancing, focused.

At 6 am, I decided to return to the hostel. I collected my jacket and belongings. I noticed that this man had stylish white and black glasses that I loved. I let him know that I liked his glasses, and then he made me an offer to buy them, and I ended up buying them. To this day, I still have them, and they are my favorite glasses.

I had a croissant and orange juice at a café and headed back to the hostel.

Something I was reflecting on this night was that letting go of my material possessions allowed me to completely free myself, it relieved my paranoia and anxiety, as if I had removed two iron chains from myself, it was magical, and it made me enjoy the night to the fullest. I arrived at my hostel, went to my room, and fell asleep.
